One other trick I use that's similar, I label images for my articles with the same first word followed by a or b or c. Example: I have an article named Boost with three images, I would label it Boosta, Boostb, and so on. This way those three stay grouped in my pictures folder. For my large folders I think I'll use your numbers first. Thanks, Steve. Say Hi to Mary from me. Tell her she's in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing that tip! It's good to see how others organize their files. It all comes down to what works best for them. As someone once told me, the best method is the one you'll use and use consistently.

I'll tell Mary! She's doing fantasticly. We're coming up on, believe it or not, 2 years since the surgery... and she is thriving.

I can't wait for the next segment on the file naming smarts you're dishing!!

My strategy had always been to name files by date: 250821_name_of_file, 250819_name_of_file. However, the actual name can cause its own problems. I like your 00 idea for keeping the top three right where you need them! Thanks for sharing, Steve.

Steve, So simple but so brilliant! I’m going to order my chaotic mess of files using this system. Thanks!
